For those few people who actually try to follow our blog, I have a confession: I let our website slide right through my fingers. Yes, I did receive those 21-day, 7-day, and 3-day warning emails from the Australian domain hosting company we bought our website from, but by the time I went to their website to purchase another year, our site had already become one of those very strange generic websites that come up when you take a wrong guess at the name of the real site you're trying to find. Maybe purchasing annual access to a website is just a little too much for me. Plus last year our credit card company flagged the transaction, since it's just a little unusual to have Australian purchases on our card. I think that Australian company even managed to charge me twice, which I noticed as I was looking back through old statements.
So I opted for the free blog. If it's even just a tiny bit easier to upload pictures to this site, then I think I can safely say I'll be posting more frequently than before on our website. For a not-really-tech-savvy-and-easily-frustrated-with-computers person, the whole process of uploading pictures from camera to computer, sorting and editing pictures, selecting ones to upload to blog, attempting to shrink said pictures through automator (too hard for me), uploading them to blog, giving them captions, editing thumbnails...oh my goodness, the list goes on forever. No wonder I never posted. And I was not quite a brave enough blogger to just post without pictures. Who wants to just completely submerge himself in my thoughts while I'm waxing eloquent with way more words than necessary? Probably only my mother would be even remotely interested in that prospect, and I might be giving her the benefit of the doubt. She's a busy woman too.
So here's to new beginnings - more posts, more pictures, and fewer technical problems! I think silly Luna would approve. :)
